Balaganj and Biswanath upazilas of Sylhet district, Chhatak and South Sunamganj upazilas on the north, Dirai on the west and Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj district on the south east of Jagannathpur upazila. Upazila head latitude 24.771664 and longitude 91.545077 The distance between the divisional city of Sylhet and the district town of Sunamganj is 44 km. There is a road link between Jagannathpur upazila and both cities.
